HOLY CRAP, REX!!!!!

THAT is one of the most AWESOME paintings ever created!! 'My new favorite :D ; and my new desktop image. I absolutely LOVE the crap out of it!! Ludwig is hillarious....you've improved him. And Morton's reeeeaally cute, there. Dammit, i can't stop looking at it, hahaha.

What are the dimensions on this, btw?

Hey, if you're gonna be in the show this year, does that mean you'll be in town? 'Hope so! It'd be great to finally meet you.

Thanks a lot Chad, Benj, & Sue! You guys are super swell.

Sue, I'm glad you like this painting, considering you're the biggest Nintendo fan I know! The image size is 12x16 inches. I MIGHT be in LA for the show...

Thats a real gem Rex.

Good luck with the show - I'm super jealous.

IS this your only piece for the show or will there be other 8-bit wonders to come?

Great painting! I think Super Mario Bros. 3, where they introduced the Koopa Kids, was probably the best game of the NES.

Thanks for all the super comments, everyone! I promise to post something new soon....

toliverchap, I agree, I think Super Mario 3 was the best NES game too. I actually think it's the best game for any system ever.

This painting is quite amazing, i really like your stuff. Say, what kind of materials do you use? Is that acrylics? Is it on canvas? Why is it that everyone who does something really well makes it seem like its so easy? I feel like painting...

Fun!!! Great colors and fun shapes!!!

Maybe I won't be the next Bill Wray, but I might be the next Rex Hackelberg...in my next life!

I painted a turtle! It took me almost two hours.

Rex, tell me if I'm hopeless, and be honest despite my insecurity. I only believe in the opinion of internet people.

thANks gabriel & robotaekwon-z.

Garbriel, the turtle is super amazing. Your skills are intimidating. it almost makes me want to stop painting. Keep going!

by the way, this was done with gouache on watercolor paper.
